need HELP on maglite xl 50

Hello!!
i recently purchased the mag lite xl 50 multi mode led.

i was able to sucessfully take the guts out and have a hollow tube. i've already made drawing for a heatsink the will screw in and use the flashlights original focusing ring to fit and focus aixiz focus ring.

main question... i can not seem to be able to get the tail cap/switch/driver assembly apart. Does any body have experience with this? i was originally going to use it as is for a 445 but if my readings are correct, the high mode only puts out about 130ma. and mag wont release any info on driver specs
i guess i could use my 30mw 635 but i would rather a 445?
i can crush it apart but then i would need to find a clicky to fit.

I think you could construct a dummy load, do you know what LED was attached to it? Since white LEDs typically have around 4V, you could use a blu ray dummy load, to measure currents at various modes. If it indeed puts 130mA at high, you could use a PHR, but heatsink it properly or the said 635. DX sells some replacement clickies, you might find a replacement there or at your local electronics store.
