Need help making first driver!

I need help making a driver for this laser diode:
One extra high burning power (1000mW-1500mW) 808nm TO-5 9mm laser diode + Gift* | eBay

All it says is Typical operation voltage is 2.2V(2.5v max) and Typical operation current is 1.2A(1.6A max).
So basically can someone just show me a link to a schematic with a voltage output of 2.2-2.5 and amp 1.2-1.6?

Those are all near invisible diodes... i think you'll need to buy a driver because typical self made drivers are run by a lm317, which can only supply 1.25A and gets real hot.

Unless you know what you are doing, stay away from infrared lasers like the one in your link, especially of this is your first build.

You can buy premade AMC7135 base drivers that can be configured for 350mA, 700mA, etc. based on your requiremets.

Don't forget to get the appropriate safety glasses for the wavelength of your laser.
