wherever it was you saw this laser and find
out EXACTLY what it was. Efficient metal
cutting requires a nice gaussian beam. That
means either CO2, DPSS, or fiber coupled.
20 gauge is only 36mils, so it is very thin
meet shetal. Think of a computer case.
Etching metal is an entirely different
ballgame. It works by blasting away the
surface. An 8W diode isn't going to "cut it".
Ya STALKER no offense I'm lost with what your saying I'm with UPAAA on this I have seen with my own eyes a 15W laser cut 20 gauge steel 4" circles no problem..

But okay let's say I get an 8W 808nm. One is 808nm okay for etching?
