need help 808nm 1W Laser Diode build

Hi this i my first post and laser build i bought a 808nm 1W Laser Diode 9mm ebay
add Power Supply Driver f 808nm 850nm 980nm IR Infrared Laser Diode TTL 200mw-1000mw
660nm/808nm/9mm Laser Diode House/Case/With Glass Lens
i will post the link if is is alright to
i put it all together and it like it dont want to cut paper at all i am also using a old computer power Supply 12v

FYI.. those are not links of what you have read..

I've been reading the Forum for ~4 years now and I still
find new info all the time.

You will need to do some more reading and research.
The link that was given to you above should help you.

1) we have not seen what you built
2) we don't know if your build works
3) you could have damaged your Laser Diode with ESD
4) you may have over driven the LD
5) you may not have enough drive current
6) your Lens could be very dirty
7) your batteries could be dead
8) your power supply could be too weak
9) the IR is invisible and you have not focused the beam
10) You may have bad solder joints
11) "anything else you can think of"

no the links are what i put together laser,driver,housing can you see why it would not work together the drive is 1.8v at 1.2 amps and the laser need 2.2v at 1.2amps for max power would a lm317 driver do better

If your LD is not blown then an LM317 in regulated current
mode would work. At 1 Amp it will need to be fully heatsinked.
