The aluminum foil trick does work, just be sure to put it on the correct side of the battery other wise you can/will create a short if it touches the inner wall of the host/battery tube.

Hey all, thankyou for your replies, advice and thoughts I haven't yet pulled it apart but I have found a weird thing thats happening that may pin-point my error, and may be exactly whats causing it, Ill try and explain it best I can.
Okay so I went out and bought Brand-New Batteries from the Hardware, opened the packet, chucked some in.. Tah-dah! Amazing quality, like I am talking outside in my yard with the sun, I can clearly see my beam.. Odd, because last night it wasn't working, so I unscrewed it and took the batteries out, put them the other way (Basically put the battery on top to the bottom, bottom battery to the top - If that makes sense) and Only IR, 0 power.. Swapped them back and Bam, working again. Little under what it was, like its acting as if it has less power.. I think the module is fine, I am beginning to think its a power issue, so would the Tin foil fix this? And where in the pen would I place it?
Thanks
