I have this theory with KTP crystals the divergence isn't the best. Red and bluray use one single lens straight from the diode and have better divergence then any green laser I have. Just my thoughts, but maybe once 532 & 473nm laser diodes are perfected and mass produced that the divergences will greatly improve. Converting IR to green or blue probably has something to do with the divergence. - just my thoughts.

does any1 here know how to adjust the focus on a 473nm portable?
can the RPL style blue lasers be adjusted rather??

I believe the lens is attached to the head cap and can be partially adjusted. However, I'm sure that Opto has fined tuned it for optimum divergence as is. I think the divergence worsens because of the IR to green/blue conversion. It doesn't start off "true", as a red or blu-ray. Soon enough though, they should be manufacturing both 532 and 473 laser diodes.
