I happen to like unconventional, hacked together stuff. You should have seen my first laptop (if you could still call it that), and oh, my external harddisk case which overheated and my old speakerboxes and my 'bucket' mains power meter and I could go on like this for half an hour.

It's like how people were debating about lighting a campfire with a laser.

I think we can truly say here guys, that this is the FIRST EVER laser pointer that can light a campfire :o
 
Very nice! Way to build something from parts laying around, I personally like the match boxes as the host.
 
as long as you don't get your diode too hot i guess it is pretty cool
