My PHR "pen" @ 105 mA

The host needs to be moded... The top part that is drilled out gets reallly thin twards the back. It is very easy to rip the head in half with my lil drill.
The $30 profit is a little high, but I broke one in the process of making it...I wanted to break a little more than even.
:/

I hate to say this, but the market here on LPF is not the same as it used to be.
Nobody wants to pay for hard work anymore. The members here are spoiled by the cheap-as-dirt generic types and now say that $70 for a >100mW PHR, flex, and some sweat is too much.
I haven't been able to sell my (awesome) pen builds... I know it's because my prices were too high... but I can't break-even if I sell 'em for what the Chinese off-brands are priced at...
You won't have much luck selling here...
Everyone seems to think that if an item is sold for more than cost of a diode and driver it is too expensive >:(
The argument is always, "I can get a piece o' crap on DX for less! LOL!"

Hard work has no value.
Ingenuity has no value.
>:(

its not that no one will pay for hard work, it's just that no one will pay for work from a member on the forum that has been here only for a short while. other people here have to trust your work. an easy way to do that is to send it to a senior member for a review. there are plenty of reputable members who will go over the laser and give their honest unbiased opinion for you, and post their findings on the forum for all to see. after everyone knows that the work is worth the price, then more will buy.

First off, I could not figure out what to call this. It looks like a flashlight; but not. It has the room of a pen, and the size. It feels like you could chuck it at a wall and not hurt it.... *Confused* Is it a pen, or a flashlight? :can:

Whatever.

PHR @ 105 mA with a v5 FlexDrive.
It runs off of 2 AAAs (1.5v)

Tail clicky button. Not momentary.

(If anybody was interested, I could build them one for the cost of parts + 25 bucks)
If I did that, there would be a few things I would change, like the AixiZ module would be in the whole way, not sticking out.
I would also use a Rckstr drive, with 3.6v lithiums. I could still use a Flex, if you wanted.
PM me if so.

:)

Ice, cool shots, but be careful with the camera, it seems the CMOS has got too many hotspots.
