After killing the last phr diode (cap discharge) and being pre addicted to bluray after making a ps3 bluray pointer I was so happy when I got this baby up and running ;D. its using a n mxdl (2x 3.6v cr2123a) and a rckstr driver set at 130ma. I built it using a heatsink made my me.

Nah mate yours looks great, maybe heatsinks would be a good option, you could machine your own use washers or buy one of jayrobs (their better than mine).

That is one nice laser! To avoid diode death due to cap discharge, I always put a resistor (maybe 470 ohm) across the cap. This resistor guarantees that the cap will be discharged quickly.

thanks mate haw many watts is the resistor rated for?

The second beamshot is cool, I like how you can really see the focusing point. Nice build. ;D

Dude, you have posted only a smilie in just about all of your posts!

STOP SPAMMING THE FORUM! >:(

And nice laser, Colier! :) Those beamshots are pretty neat, I also use deo spray as I don't have a fog machine yet. Can't go wrong with that host, either: Looks great and has plenty room for heatsinking.
