Nice video, Isn't 300mA a little high for that laser diode?

Yes it is, look at the power graph:

He's hitting the knee which isn't so bad but I don't recommend going beyond 250mA.

Next time you should get a Stonetek diode, those can be driven perfectly safe at 300mA and output around 200mW.
