Hi guys ! I am new here, and i want to present you my new blue laser. On the box it's specified that is a 5w laser but what do you think ?

Judging by the host it uses and the burning capability, I would say the output would be around 2w, no more than 3W.

Thanks for info mate, i was suspicious about the real output power.

What about nitecore accu's ? They are ok ?

Agreed, no more than 2.5W. Stick with trusted brands like Sanyo etc.

The cost was about 140-150 euro's

A 5W laser will cost you about double that or more, I am guessing that laser has a M140 diode or maybe a a PLTB450B, this would put its max power at about 2W. Still though it does look like a good laser and at a fair price.

How much current does it actually draw from the batteries?

This is no guarantee but can be an indication on what laser diode is in there and how hard it's being driven.
