My negative reps on spammers have no effect.

I've seen QUITE A LOT of spam since we've moved to the new forum, and for every post I've seen, I've left negative reputation points and flagged the post...

For each one, the user's reputation remains green, and no matter how many posts I flag, they never get deleted.

Does the reputation system actually do anything?

Does the flag post button actually do anything?

i changed the registration question on the forum to a question and answer.. what are the first 3 chars in the word laser.. hopefully this will help

i wasn't receiving email responses to reported posts but i think i fixed it now

all threads and spammers were deleted

vbulletin has a antispam modification that i may try out soon if this keeps happening

What if I created a "Report A Spammer" thread; c0ld could subscribe to it and he could get the spammers instantly..

Well apparently now the "Report Post" button (

) works now, so all we have to do is click that button and c0ld gets an email about it.

I think there shouldbe something like if a post gets reported by veteran users it automaticly gets deleted or at least hided until co0ld chek.

I still remember the day the "mobile seller" spammed the whole forum omg

i just cleaned out all those threads and banned the IP blocks. i am not sure about the negative rep thing. report post button is working now, my fiance ostine is getting email notifications about these as well so we can both delete posts

when i am home a bit later i might install a mod to block known spammers that looked pretty good

Here's the low-down on the Negative Rep thing....

1) All newly registered Members (on the new LPF) get 10 Free rep points
The Member's Reputation tab is not visible until another member give/takes reps.

Let's say that you have a Rep Power of 10...
2) When you give Reps... the Member will receive 10 Rep points added to his
Rep total...

3) When you take Reps... the Member will have 5 Rep points (1/2 of your Rep Power)
removed from his Rep total...
