hi folks some pics of my thrown together n 450nm 2w laser,not finished as its a work in progress,the batts are l-ion total 13.8ah,case ian old e-bike controller case,wih homebrew heatsink etc,also ive just brought a casio xj-m140 projector,anyone know what sort of ld in them?, specs etc,cheers m3vuv.

Wow, sweet looking build. You must be getting some pretty insane runtimes with that much heat sinking and battery power.

As far as I know, I don’t think there are any manufacturer data sheets available for m140 diodes but they are 445nm and DTR recommends a max current of 1.8 amps. That should get you 2w+ with a g2.

Just search “m140” in lpf and you should be able to find a ton of info.

Hi,
That projector has the A140 and M140 diodes in it 24 total . the M140's will have a stamp between the pins and the A140's will not.6374263743

do they have a mix of both or one or the other then?,my laser is ok but takes forever to charge,mind you the charger only outputs 650ma6374463744

I haven't put a laser diode in a project box in a long time. Thanks for the walk down memory lane.
