Here is my first red that I have built, Thanks to LarryQ, Ddl and Senkat. I can't post links yet so take out the space in these hyperlinks ! ht tp://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee210/catmandoo1305/P1050006.jpg ht tp://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee210/catmandoo1305/P1050005.jpg ht tp://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee210/catmandoo1305/P1050004.jpg ht tp://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee210/catmandoo1305/P1050001.jpg

It does all the standard things, balloons, matches and tape, now how to get it to light up the charcoal grill, hmmmm ?

Hey, Thanks for fixin the links ! I think maybe some rifle powder snuggled amongst the briquets. I made the body from easily ( at least to me ) acquired components, the tube is one inch aluminum from Ace hardware, the ends are one inch round aluminum stock, can't remember where I got it but Aircraft spruce and speciality sells it on the net if you can't find it locally, two battery holders from $ 2.99 flashlights, Radioshack and Senkat. I used metric 20 x 2 tap and dies on the threaded portions. Basicly a home built GB laser barrel. I found out today that if you put a sharpie mark on the back of your coworkers hand that it leaves a blister !
Duh !, He did this after watching it pop ballons and light a match, He is now grounded from the laser, maybe He won't breed. Lol

The hardware store " Ace Hardware " has all kinds of neat stuff, a whole aisle of little bins with hard to find items and they have racks of metal pieces, small quantities but a varied selection, have not seen this at other chain stores. Aircraft spruce has tubing also, I found that sight looking for materials for this years new race car, lots of cool stuff there to fab with.
