I have a noob question i wanna spend some money on some good goggles. I cant make up my mind on which one to buy

frist one was :
Eagle Pair® 190-540nm & 800-2000nm Laser Safety Goggles

2nd one was :
Black sport-wrap laser safety glasses with high clarity polycarbonate laser protective filter for use with 190-532 nm KTP, Argon, and CO2 lasers

3rd on was:
http://www.thorlabs.com/thorProduct.cfm?partNumber=LG12

and the best one is this one but it will not do 532nm :
https://www.oemlasersystems.com/product-catalog/laser-eye-protection/broadband-ir/ir5-broadband-ir-detail

I want IR protection for 532nm and 808nm but i want my goggles for 445nm can i have it all in one?

3rd pair dont cover 532nm so those are out. 1st pair are nice and cover 445, 532 and 808-2000. 2nd pair cover IR but only at 10,000-11,000nm so those arent great.

532nm DPSS produce 1064nm iirc so THESE will work well

someone correct me if im wrong on my above statement

first pair or the ones i found are the only way to go. depends on your price rangee

reason i like the ones i found are 1) they look good and 2) they are OD7 at the wavelengths you want. eagle pair are only OD4 which is good but not as good as OD7 :p

the one you find will not do 808nm but im liking them i just find this
100-20-260 Laser Glasses
is this over kill?

as mentioned above, i believe 532nm DPSS lasers put out 1064nm and not 808nm so as long as you are not buying a 808nm laser you should be good. ill go and double check that IR output of a 532nm for you though

BTW those might be slight overkill unless you want to look like an oompa lumpa

ahhhhh then id say survival laser but remember they are only OD4 so if you get something over 10W you might want to step your "OD" up son

i'm going to build a 3w of 445nm
thats why i dont want to get the eagle pair i want a higher OD

3W @ OD4 will be 0.3mW if im doing my math right......OD4 is up to 10,000 times reduction

EDIT: found the right table
OD Transmittance
0.0 100%
1.0 10%
2.0 1%
3.0 0.1%
4.0 0.01%
5.0 0.001%
6.0 0.0001%
7.0 0.00001%
8.0 0.000001%
9.0 0.0000001%

Thus 3W or 3000mW @ OD4 would be 30mW. that is harmful but still not bad considering what it started at. OD7 would make 3W turn into 0.03mW

EDIT 2: wait 0.01% would be 3000mW x 0.0001 right? thus making it 0.3mW of 445nm. thus OD4 is plenty for a 3W 445nm build

im sorry man, my mind is wrecked! im studying for finals tomorrow and cant think straight. the only thing on my mind right now is external auditing.....oh boyyyyyyy

I would get the first pair. It will be plenty of protection for your upcoming builds.
