Well, I was cleaning out my room today (Something that only happens once ever half of a decade hehe :eg and I found my FIRST red laser pointer! I purchased this back in late 1997 or early 1998, when I was only 14 years old. I believed I begged my mom to get it for me from a catalog she used to get in the mail once a month. I believe the catalog was called Daymark, but I could be wrong. Anyhow, here are the pics.

Picture of the box. Not bad considering it's 12-13 years old!

Back of the box. Notice the bold "1200 feet away!"...

The end cap. Notice the aluminum foil on there. That was because I stripped the caps back in the day, and the only way to get it to screw on was by wrapping foil on there. I figured this out all by myself, before I even knew what the internet was.

The module & the driver. Unfortunately this laser no longer works. I will forever keep it, due to the fact that it was my first.
P.S. - Several months after I received this, I saw a green laser in the same catalog, for about $499.99 if I am not mistaken...I paid $19.99 for this red one.
A few years later, I purchased another red one from Costco Wholesale. Here is what it looked like.

I believe it was manufactured from a company called Aurora. It came with three tips. One was an arrow, one was a spiral galaxy and the other was a circle. Anyone know where I can obtain quality tips for lasers like that? Thanks! Also, pics of your first lasers and when you obtained them!
