Just one question if you look at the attachment there is a threaded end on the heat sink. What does this screw into

That is the module, not the heatsink. It screws into the back part of the aixiz module. It is not necessary for operation.

You don't understand.

The part where the diode is pressfited into is an Aixiz module. It threads into the back end which doesn't really serve any purpose beside housing a driver, but we take care of that in a lot of other ways. Using it makes no visible difference in heat managment.

It's not the heatsink. Heatsink is a very large aluminium/copper mass around the module the diode is pressed into.
