My first laser build.

It was a PHR-805t, and it was quite fun making it. I got my parts from Cajun Lasers, and it was good. The next step is putting it in a case or something portable...

Well, you've got the basics covered, it works. Looks like a linear regulator, LM317 maybe? What drive current did you go with? Any plans for a host? Cameras can have trouble with the 405nm light.

The regulator was an LM1086CT-ADJ. I may put it inside a pen host provided the batteries I use give enought current. I gave it 90 mA.

Make sure to put filter caps on input and output, as these 1086 suckers would be cruel on the 405 without them.
