2 days ago i killed my first labby by breaking a pin off O.o (it only worked for an hour or so)

yesterday i went mad, and dismantled another dvd burner, and this time i put the aixiz module very tightly in the heatsink

the driver i used was from a red stepper projector i bought with defective powersupply

now to see if i can use this one for my RGV project

i have a cheap ILDA projector too, and when i hook up the TTL signal to this driver my laser goes off, and stays off
if i use the driver that came with that projector i do get a nice flickering light

but power is much much lower

i drive these reds @ around 220mA

you have plenty of heatsinking there. good job on realizing the need for it! far too many noobs have powered up just an aixiz module with no sinking and then wonder why the diode died.

i have been playing with my labby yesterday
and figured i could use my RPi to control the TTL line easily

so i made a script or two with some blinking for fun

anyone here with the expertise to make a graphical interface for controlling the speed of blinking? its for my spirograph..

i am also looking to control speed of the fans with the RPi, so i can do everything from one device

extra lasers can be added later on ^^

if all works from the RPi, i will be looking into a web based control panel, which allows me to control the spiro with my Phone or tablet, heck even from the interwebs.... :)

i have been busy, and tried to mix in a unused green module i have, paired with the driver i used for the red, and the red on the slightly dimmer driver

imgur: the simple image sharer

got some cool effects quite quickly...

if anyone helps me by developing some piece of software for this RPi
i would donate the completed package with instructions to the forums
