Hello everyone! please be respectful this is my first DIY red :p

I was going to use this host for a DIY blu ray, but after all the work I went through there wasn't enough power. :/

So I thought why not make a red laser!

Here's my host

Soldered two leads and taped.

I glued a rubber washer to hold the aixiz module

Then I glued a metal washer on top, sorry no pics :(
Here is the finished product!

Nice build, I can tell you my first DIY red did not look NEAR as nice as your does! ;D

Make sure you follow a good duty cycle though, the rubber washer will just trap heat in the module and if you leave the laser on too long, the diode will fry out. :(
