These are the video tutorials for the assembly of my MXDL silver kits.
Keep in mind that i was making the tutorial, as i was putting the very first one together, so naturally i ran into small problems.

Part 1:

Part 2:

for that tutorial i used a 6x SF-AW210 diode set at 181mA or 185mA.....i had forgotten which lol

also, after the tutorial i went back and took some of the black foam sheet that i had used to insulate the driver, and put a layer between the spacer/steel washer, and the heatsink, and i also trimmed down the case pin..

i did this because of the fact that this host doesn't have a switch, it's easy for it to accidently make contact and turn on by itself......

for example, the reason i put the foma in place is because the blank pcb is press fit into that metal retainer, well if the edge of that blank PCB, which is the negative contact point makes contact with the metal retainer, it can potentially traveling through the blank pcb, into the retainer, and from there either go through the head of the flashlight, or through the spacer and into the heatsink....

so i trimmed down the case pin and insultaed the heatsink to help protect from accidently completing the circuit......

this is the main reason why i am debating on just completing all of these builds with PHR diodes and then selling them for cost..

it is also why i am very unsure about it's compatability with red diode which are natually case negative, it may cause a lot of problems with them....even more so for people who are not use to building lasers.

these can be built fairly easily by people with experience, and make great lasers when built properly...but i can jsut imagine all the mail i'll be getting from people who have lasers that are firing off on their own....
