Hi,

It's a long shot. Most of you know a famous projector stuffed with a lot of laser diodes what shine on a yellow wheel. The wheel is rotated by a motor. Thus, my question.
What is this motor?
It has seven pins. Some numbers on the cable but nothing googles out. Thnx for any help.

Some type of stepper-motor no doubt. There's a clear section that bypasses the phosphor and these two sections need to be synced with the DMD chip. Reverse-engineering the included driver board, or providing your own stepper motor driver is about the only way to get it running. They don't work off of straight AC or DC.

You would be better off harvesting a DC motor from One-Step Poli. Camera AND there is a nice FSM in it-TOO -

these go very cheap at tag/yard/garage sales etc- I have picked up many and never pay more than 1$.
Those PJ motors look nice and great little size BUT you do not want to waste time.
I throw them away. (lots of them) BUT I keep the Phosphor wheels..
