Microboost and LPC

I was following a debate on this and then lost it and never got to see the outcome.

Can LPC, or any case negative diode be driven with a micro boost since the -vin and -vout are not continuous on the driver?

In short yes it can if you isolate the diode from the case and connect the driver directly to diode

How do you isolate the diode though?
The thermal continuity of electrical tape is somewhat lacking :crackup:

if you are dead set on using microboost for this thermal epoxy is your best bet. or find a host that is not used as part of the circuit.

You can use DealExtreme: $2.80 High Temperature Tape (10mm / 300-C) to insulate the axiz module from the host. It works great, I used it on my white fusion build. It does have an effect on the heat transfer, but its really negligible.
