MI 1.5A driver for 445nm diode

Re: MI 1.5A driver for casio diode

The specs don't list a compliance range, so unless it's a switchmode driver that can boost the voltage it won't drive casio diodes. I can't see an inductor, so my guess would be it's a linear driver. DPSS modules pump with a 808nm diode, those only have a ~2V voltage drop.

Re: MI 1.5A driver for casio diode

Why not use the FlexDrive V5 ?
same 1.5A max Current, smaller and cost $23

Both can drive 445 diode

Because he already owns this, he's not choosing between purchasing that and the flex.

Re: MI 1.5A driver for casio diode

well, no, and actually I am going to go with the flexmod P3 as it has modulation, and the diode is going to be used in a projector. Took me a month(ok an evening LOL) to check the MI driver out and realised it didnt have any form of modulation. Thanks for the input fella's :)
