Marble Tiling + Bluray = Awesome :)

I just got my Pocket mini from Jayrob (thanks again mate) http://www.laserpointerforums.com/forums/YaBB.pl?num=1226875831

And when i accidentaly came acros our floor the laser dot left a tail that slowly went away (in about 1 second) I never guessed that marble tiling had fluorescent capabilities

Anyone else ever came across that kind of phenomenon?

Many "granites" (marble is a granite), have fluorescent and/or phosphorescent components in them. This is true for both limestone granites and granitic pegmatites. The "trail" you are seeing is called phosphorescence, not fluorescence.
