M140 laser module help!

I have a 2w 445nm M140 laser module but I can't get it powered for some reason.
I'm running 7 volts through a 1.25A Diode Driver that I bought on line but all I'm getting is a faint blue light coming from the diode. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Which driver did you get? Do you have pictures of your setup? Did you verify that the driver is putting out 1.25A? Did you power up the driver without the diode hooked up, then hook up the diode without first dissipating any charge stored in the drivers output capacitor?

This is the exact diode that I'm using. My multimeter won't read amperage from DC so I'm not sure how to text what the driver is putting out. Honestly I'm pretty new to this stuff so I'm not exactly sure what the next step is in figuring out the problem.

Search out threads on dummy loads or test loads. It is very easy to build and use and necessary to test drivers or to set the current on adjustable drivers. Your DMM will work for this purpose.

Check out the thread I posted recently about my NUBM44 build. A couple useful links in there about building the test load for it. Good luck!
