Thank you very much Bionic-Badger, I searched this on Google but I couldn't understand the explanations. +1 for the trouble! :beer:
 





cooling devices don't really have efficiencies in the traditional sense. A 500W air conditioner can remove a good 1500W of heat. That doesn't mean it's 300% efficient though. What you want is coefficient of performance, and for TECs this value depends on how cool you keep the "hot" side, but 0.5 is a reasonable estimate.
