First - I know a 445nm diode of necessity must be 445nm else it becomes a 447nm diode, or whatever.

Next - what is the lowest wavelength we have seen on them? Anything below 440nm?

I am very interested in either finding a low wavelength '445' or a very high wavelength purple diode. If anyone has any leads please let me know. With the 462nm diodes out I want a lower indigo laser to give better spectrum coverage.

Thanks,
Isaac

You could try cooling a 445nm diode with liquid nitrogen to achieve a lower wavelength but I think you're looking for freak diodes that are naturally low in wavelength.
