Hello everyone,

I am seeking beta testers for our new host assembly, we are close to relase and need the help from you to get the host perfect for you, even if you don't wish to beta test your advice still matters we would love to hear your feedback.

What's the host like?
The new host is a near exact external replica of the classic "301", "303", "Assassin" style lasers but made for standardized laser hobbyist parts, standard 12mm modules, M9x0.5 lenses, and standard driver pills. Despite looking similar on the outside the internals could never have been diffrent with C101 copper heatsinks and a 7075 Aluminium Barrel.

What's in it for you?
As a beta tester, you'll get a free version of the final host assembly and get to keep the prototypes, and you will also get a discount code for future pruchases, you'll also get your name in the credits of out product launch.

Requirements?
- 18 years or older
- Be located within either Canada or the USA (Shipping Concerns)
- Have decent knowledge of lasers and host assemblies
- Availability to test the product in reasonable time
- Able to provide quality feedback weather good or bad feedback (Your responsed will be taken heavely into account when editing the final product)
- Able to respond to emails on a decent timeframe
- Overall be interested in the product and testing

If you're interested, please reach out!
DM me or email at admin@censuslasers.com

We really hope to talk to you in the future.

Thank you,
R.C

Can you give a 3D version of it?
Does it use the same side switch thats supported by the plastic insert or does it use a pill like the C6 style that Survival Lasers sell?

"a near exact external replica of the classic "301", "303", "Assassin" style lasers". lol
An expensive replica of a $1 to$1.50 low cost/cheapest not very effective poorly designed host meant only for lowest cost Chinese mass production is still just what it is.

Was a dim idea from the get go when you posted the "Classic 301" laser post back in June 2024.
You can't make a silk purse out of a sows ear no matter what you use materials wise.

What do you imagine you are going to do with your expensive "me too" copy of a poorly/ill designed and unattractive host sell a couple a year?
Who do you imagine is going to spend $40 to $100 probably more, on a diode, a module,a driver, a pill and a lens assembly and then waste those parts purchased, + waste the effort, time, and materials only to put it in a low end poorly designed unattractive to begin with 301 host unless they simply don't know any better?

These hosts are much better than 301-304's.... Much nicer quality, weight, feel.
You could make heat-sink modules to fit the head end so the user would assemble the module that would slip into the head end, spring board rear contact could also be the driver and although a person could own 1 body and many head modules, most would want a body for each head they build.

Again can you give a 3D image of sometype and where the switch will be?

I don't remember where I got these hosts, but here's a similar one, you could message the seller and ask if he has or can get you empty hosts.

It them replicating the Chinesium hosts.

I'm not sure why you would go to lengths to replicate and make your own of these hosts.
The Chinese are seriously going to undercut the price of their own hosts compared to what these customised hosts will cost.
And why would you not make your own more aesthetic hosts?

I know Curtis;)
Just curious to how much thought he put into these "plastic" hosts.
I don't think the side switch is in the same place??

It uses a tail switch mostly because of simplicity but also the side switch looks ugly in my opinion and is harder to design if people want I could try a side switch design. The tail switch uses the same pill as in the C6

Why not just make heatsinks to fit the convoy s2 hosts, they are sweet hosts with quality switches, also many others are available, what people need are sinks to hold 12mm modules with a recess at the back for a springboard/driver.

I asked you to make 20 posts so you can sell. I'm about to close this thread because you did not do this. I'm giving you one more chance.

How powerful is it?
Have you measured the laser with LPM yet?
