Looking for a replacement 808nm diode for DPSS

edit: uploaded pic of the actual diode. the leads on the back came off and the other side got banged up when i was hammering out this dead diode.

I have attached pictures of the diode housing part of the DPSS. I have two of these where the diodes have burned out. So far I haven't been able to find a replacement diode that would fit. Anyone know if I can purchase a diode that is configured like this or is there a way to make the other types of diodes work?

As a side note, what is that white compound on the inside?

Thanks for any help!

If you want to tinker go ahead and buy a 300mW 808nm diode on Ebay. Or you can just buy a complete green pen laser for just over 10 dollar.

The problem with the broken diode is that you can't get it out without removing the crystals. The diode is pressed into the host.

Same problem here.
I had to go through 5 different ebay diodes to find one which worked, you really need a spectrometer to get one exactly on 808nm then do a thermal profile to find out how to set up the feedback circuit.

Then my working diode died due to overcurrent/etc and now emits about 9mW at 100mA in :-( :-(
