Looking for a good switch

Hey guys, been out of the loop for a while and am building a custom laser and am in need of a clicky switch that is <16mm in diameter that is capable of handling a 1.5A current. Please do not suggest this: $1.94 - Clicky Switch for Flashlights (16mm 5-Pack) - Flashlight Parts and Tools This switch is in reality over 18mm. Thanks for your help in advance! Btw I was looking at this switch $1.90 - Clicky Switch for Flashlights (11mm 5-Pack) - Flashlight Parts and Tools which would be perfect other than the .5A rating. Do you guys think it would be able to handle 1.5A? It would be running off a single Li-ion battery.

I could be wrong.... but if it can handle 0.5A @ 36VDC, then couldn't it easily handle 1.5A at the ~8 or so V you're likely to need to throw at it?

Yeah thats what Im wondering, I have seen switches that have different current ratings at differing voltages, maybe I should just go for it, I have a feeling it should work.

Usually not, but the rated current is for a set number of switchings. (10-100.000)
Just buy several and be prepared* to replace them.

*That is, have a faulty switch in mind when looking for faults in your laser.
