Looking for a badass laser for a reasonable price

First off I'll say I'm new to the forum and just getting into lasers at that. I recently bought a 5mw laser off amazon thinking it would be badass but damn that was a piece. It quit working after 5min. What I really want is a laser that can burn without modding and that's really bright and made well. I've been looking at purchasing the Artic from wicked but from what I hear the are a piece of shit. Can anyone tell me about them??? And why does thier site say 299 for a krypton when obviously thier 1000 bucks?? I just need some recommendations on a badass laser for around $350 bucks..thanks Justin

For your first laser green is probably a good choice.
$350 will get you an amazing greenie, I suggest looking into jetlasers and the group buys that people are having with them all the time.
Or you can get a ~1W blue for really cheap on the Buy Sell Trade Forums, like $120-150.
Eagle pair laser safety goggles are ~$40

What about the Primus or the Rifle445 1000mw laser?? I'm thinking about getting a blue one
