Hey guys,

I'd just like to thank everyone for everything I've learnt so far,
this is definitely THE forum for Laser Education.

Anywho, I've been slowly expanding my collection of lasers and the question of what to get next has popped up.
(I'm sure you all know exactly how that feels.)
I've only had experience with Wicked Lasers and Deal Extreme which leads me to my question,

I've been looking at a few lasers on www.kaidomain.com and I've chosen these as possible candidates,

http://www.kaidomain.com/WEBUI/ProductDetail.aspx?TranID=3902 10mW Green Laser Pointer Grey $29.99
http://www.kaidomain.com/WEBUI/ProductDetail.aspx?TranID=3349 20mW UltraFire WF-502B Green Laser Pointer Black $35.97
http://www.kaidomain.com/WEBUI/ProductDetail.aspx?TranID=3304 Copper 50mW Green Laser Pointer Black $25.52
http://www.kaidomain.com/WEBUI/ProductDetail.aspx?TranID=2179 50mW Green Laser Pointer $21.06

I was pretty surprised by the prices! They're even cheaper than DX, and that frankly, is pretty damn hard.
I think I've picked out the best bang for buck deals but please feel free to give advice or suggest other products. :)

Does anybody have any experience with KD?
Are they a trustworthy company?
How's the quality of their lasers (correct outputs)?
Which laser would you recommend out of the ones I've linked?

Any thoughts or advice would be much appreciated!

Thanks in advance,
Dingers [smiley=dankk2.gif]

Re: Looking at Kaidomain to buy next laser, though

from what Iv'e heared the copper 50 mW is your best bet I ordered one of those and a couple of the 50 mW pointers they haven't made it here yet ,when they arrive i'll reply

Re: Looking at Kaidomain to buy next laser, though

On closer inspection I'm pretty confused.

Their pen lasers which I assume is the same as DX, has really weird pricing!

Have a look at them:

30mW Green Laser Pointer $17.12
20mW Green Laesr Pointer Pen $19.98
5mW Green Laser Pointer $17.56
10MW Green Laser Pointer $18.98
50mW Green Laser Pointer $21.06

As you can see, the 30mW is cheaper than the 20, 10, and 5.
And I spose 50mW for $20 is a bit too good to be true.

Someone prove me wrong please! :P

LOL?

Re: Looking at Kaidomain to buy next laser, though

with dodgy statistics like that, I actually wouldnt be surprised if the 10 put out more power than the 30.

Re: Looking at Kaidomain to buy next laser, though

Unless they got their mW's mixed up,
I'll email them about it I guess.

Re: Looking at Kaidomain to buy next laser, though

I would recommend the 50mW Copper. Lots of us on here have it. It's much better than the pen lasers and I ordered 2 more today. Hehe.

Hey guys, a few questions, I read the airmail shipping info on KD and it says you have to sign for the package. My questions are, does the person who orders the package have to sign for it, what happens if you send something to a friend, can he sign? And what happens if no one is at home when the package is delivered, does USPS leave a note or do you have to go and pick it up at your local post office?

I have missed some dx packages before and you need to go and pick them up and the post office.

Re: Looking at Kaidomain to buy next laser, though

Another point with KD is that sometimes shipping is very slow. So you have to have patience. Everything eventually shows up but I've waited over a month for some items. I agree that the "Edwina" Copper 50mW is the best laser value on the site, however you'll need rechargeable CR2s and a charger for them if you plan on using it a lot. (Primary CR2s are horrifically expensive and don't last long) Buy those from DX... you'll get them before the KD50 arrives and you'll be ready to play once the included CR2 runs out.

Re: Looking at Kaidomain to buy next laser, though

Looks like I'll go for the "Edwina" then.

Bah, theres another argument, either the Edwina + Ultrafire C3 Cree or the 200mW Red Dilda-Lazer.

OOFT, this requires some thought.

I agree with the bolded statements made in this post.

Stupid CR2 batteries, I'll have to get some and a charger.

It's not just you, I just tryed to add it to my cart and it said "there are no items in your cart!" maybe it's because it's not in stock right now.

Re: Looking at Kaidomain to buy next laser, though

Weird, and yeah that's exactly what's happening to me.

Edwina, I would say. The Dilda Lazer is very nice but nothing beats the lightsaber. It depends of course, I would say one dilda-lazer to every 3 greens you have. While it can burn things, that's all it can really do (although it would make a great utility, if for some reason you needed a really bright red dot focused anywhere in broad daylight for 200 metres).

For those with cart-adding issues, you need to email Kai at sales+_at_+kaidomain.com.
