I'm confused. How do you make a laser over 5mw legal? I heard something about a key and indicator light, but where are the REAL requirements?

300mW!!! What sort of monster diode do you have??? Is it one of those ugly multimode things?

and remember some people's senkat diodes have been pushing over 250mw i recall

anything over 100mW where you didnt cash really much extra is multimode. at least if you arent sure about it, you can be sure its not singlemode..
worse than multimode? multi-emitter.. but then those wont begin at 300mW i guess, and again, you will know about it when you have your hands on one!

there is that datasheet for the gb diode, you will find the nm in there. dont have the pdf here, google the diode's name, and you should find it.

any diode from a dvd burner any speed is going to be single mode, it will have good beam specs. Dvd drives dont have good enough optics to be able to utalize multimode diodes effeciently.

...lazer... ;D ;D ;D
