I'm looking for an IC that can handle up to 42V of input, and output a regulated 32V, at a current of 3A.
The 1084 can handle the current, but not the V input.
The 317HV can handle the V input, but not the current.
Ideal would be something like a 1084, with extended voltage range.
Space (number of external components) is a consideration, but I may end up paralleling two LM317HVs (though I'd like to avoid this if possible, and a lower dropout would be nice).
Cheers all
