Greets to all at LPF.

I stumbled upon this forum few weeks ago from a post on some random tech blog showing Jayrobs Startrek phaser mod. Well of course one thing led to another and I am here now. Ive always had a interest in lasers until 2 weeks ago I thought best I could do as a normal consumer was the cheapo 5mw reds you find in most everywhere.

Yep I'm into it now big time. Ive already attempted my own build using a diode from my old 16x DVD burner, to bad I cracked the glass lens/cover on it from the dismantle of the sled. it still lit up but not bright at all.

So I'm now on a mission to find more scrap burners and do some more *experimenting*. In meanwhile I think I will be purchasing a 200mw 532mn Grennie from Rayfoss as my first high power laser, or I might buy a module from O-like and build my own custom host. probably buy some goggles too haha.
