I've been using one of these for several months now... I started out at 300mA, but I've increased it to 340mA since then... It's holding up well, and it's a very powerful burner. I don't have an LPM so I can't measure the output, but it's much more powerful than any other laser I've ever used. Much stronger than a LOC red at 450mA, much much stronger than a 6x diode at 220mA.
I built two, the first one died within days... My boss owned that one and he didn't treat it well... He left it on for 5 minutes at a time, then cycled it on and off rapidly.. I was also using a custom, untested driver design at the time, and that might have contributed to its short life too.
All in all, I'm pretty sure these are the same diodes as found in the Pioneer BDR-203 that's so popular these days.
Here's my thread about the harvesting process: http://laserpointerforums.com/f51/harvesting-lg-bh08ls20-8x-bluray-burner-40391.html
