Hey all. I was opening the back of some plastic aixiz lenses yesterday and it eventually falled off. So I removed the plastic lens from it. I got a plastic barrel. So after finishing the work I put the lens back on, closed the barrel and it was normal, as expected. I searched an old box looking for more aixiz modules/lenses, and I found a bag (really small) with some dichros and lens. Damn, I've never seen those things before. The dichros were stored (I'll test they later) and the lenses were tested and.. they are coated I think. I fitted one in a barrel (that I opened) and it got a kinda loose inside. The laser was 'half' focused. Then I put another lens behind it inside the barrel and.. I got a very nice dot instead of a "fast axiz" bar, from a 445. I looked the lens and they are ocean blue, when mounted in a barrel, and yellow in red paper. Dunno the procedence from they.

They are coated for what? :) I'll post some pics if possible.

Thanks.

if they appear blue in REFLECTION and look red/yellow while put on white paper, REMOVE IT FROM THE LENS! they reflect blue, that means big part of your 445nm power is reflected back to the diode (and thet's VERY bad!)

I'm not using it. I tried after the collimation (aka "pointed the laser" into the lens ;)) and I saw it reflects. I tried one time with a 'zombie' diode, and thats the result that I got. They are reflect blue/pass red?
