Lasers for UFO Spotting

I found this hilariously stupid use for a laser while looking at a laser pointer's reviews on Amazon.



I calmly left a comment letting the reviewer and other readers know that pointing lasers at airplanes and helicopters can blind or impair pilots and will land you in federal prison if you are caught.

Let this be a reminder that laser no-no's are not common sense to everyone, and if we want this hobby to remain accessible, we would be wise to continue preaching laser safety.

But NO, It's a government coverup. They just use the plane thing to cover up that if people shine lasers up at the sky, the aliens will think we're attacking and retaliate

That's actually a good point. unidentified flying object is not the same as unidentifiable flying object, and it would be arrogant of anyone to assume they can rule out civilian aircraft. Especially given the safety concerns.
