hmmm, interesting. I think my teacher in school went thru something similar to this.

someone my mom knows did it and it worked.It said its 630-680nm but it also said it was nd:yag which is only green right.


nd:yag (actually, one of the minor lasing lines of nd:yag, 1342nm) can also be doubled into 671nm light.

My guess is that the laser doing the burning is a yag at 1064nm, and the 630-680nm warning label was probably for the HeNe (or diode) aiming beam.
 
just stab a hole in yourself and insert your laser, and the fat will melt away :D


a 1mm laser? how is that possible... or is it using fiber optic lines?

Yeah my guess is that it is delivered into a hand-held device via fiber optics 8-)
