Hi

I posted about my new laser from o-like dimming after having it on for burning, maybe 20 seconds, turning off for a min or so & then back on.

I bought new battery as told here & by o-like & still happens. Its only if its on for 20 secs or so & then off then on again. Not sure if its duty cycle. If i leave the laser a few mins, its ok, until it gets warm again!

It's possible, DPSS lasers aren't always the most stable..... Guess your just unlucky, maybe o-like can help

If i use on & off for prolonged burning, but always making sure it has off time, the laser will dim, i think also gets warm, unless thats the warmth from holding it.
I think having an end cap button instead of a momentary button makes it harder to realise how long its been on.

I'm just hoping its not something i've done & the laser will stay as it is instead of getting worse.
I'm just wondering what the hell it is.
This is the laser o-like sent me to replace one that died>.

It sounds like you got another malfunctioning laser. 20 secs of run time before it dims if really in the lower end of what is acceptable. I would write to Suzy and ask her about it and what to do. It would be good service to exchange it imo for a unit that they test themselves before shipping it out. Which laser are we dealing with here? Link if you can find it pls.

Hi

Susi has been great as she replaced for free my old laser even though it was out of warranty. She says i can keep the faulty one & send $85 for a replacement but the laser doesn't seem as bad now! I've replaced the battery & do what i need to with the laser, b urning the odd match stick & blasting a few buildings from distance which is all i can do really as i live in a city & can't wave it around willy nilly!

I really enjoy using the laser in the forrest lol.

Power Rock Green laser Torch 200mW /Focusable&Waterproof [OLPRGL200] - $134.99 : Zen Cart!, The Art of E-commerce

Here is the laser, it burns much better than the 200mw transformable focusable one i used to have.

Nice :-) Im glad you had such a good experience with o-likes professional aftersale support. And even out of warranty and they still did that little extra to get a satisfied customer. I often recommend them here at LPF and this just shows that I can keep doing that knowing that they still live up to expectations

Was still wondering though as to whether a new better quality battery can improve the output quality of a laser visually.
