Hi all, I'm new to the forum and LDs, about a week in. I have a few questions...
First- my plan is to build a torch using a 638nm red oclaro diode behind a aspheric lens (75mm possibly). Driver powered by 3, 5000mah 3v batteries in parallel.
Second- I want to be able to adjust my beam spread,
Third- what's the best milliamp rating for the oclaro to be bright enough to have a beam that could light up a vehicle sized object at 200-500 yards.
Fourth- what driver will work with which I can use a potentiometer (dial) to change the intensity of the beam on the fly.
I will be using this for coyote night hunting... thanks for any replies and assistance. If its too difficult just tell me so. Thanks guys
