isn't there a list of free software ( i think someone here maintaines it )

Software is a bastard when you try doing it for free >:( Popelscan is good, but just for play back and the new version only supports MOT files which is also a bastard! Spaghetti is good and so is laserboy(very old school style, think DOS) wish pangolin would feel in the giving mood and send FB3's to all the needy laserists of the world.......

The new kid on the block is "Laserboy"

(Quoted from the creator of Laserboy, James Lehman)

"Here's a link to the old LaserBoy website:

http://akrobiz.com/laserboy

It has not been updated since 2005, but the information is approximately the same.

The big difference is that it now can be compiled and will run in just about any OS.

Look here to find the latest version:

http://hacylon.case.edu/laser/LaserBoy/

This zip comes with a precompiled Windows exe and all of the code in C++ !!!"

It can use an ordinary 5.1 soundcard instead of an expensive DAC for output.

ok what i want is some software to go with my audio dac/amp setup (DrLava/Laserboy Style).

i want something nice, and well layed out, and english.

I have looked at a few but want some advice .

HE looks like it might be good for design, but its half german and I dont understand it (english version please).

what are the best choices for players?

exactly WHAT software will support the audio dac?

Spaghetti is a good free, well layed out software that supports ILDA and timelines. I cant remember the site, but take a look on photonlexicon under the programming section and you will find it. It suppoprts the sound card DAC too...
