Ok, I'm to the laser hobby and i was wondering a couple things about the output numbers. I've been looking through some different lasers and they have different "nm" values and "mW". And the main thing i was looking for was if somebody could maybe give me some sort of list showing how strong different values are in relativity to things like optical drives that certain outputs are used in or whether or not they will burn things like paper or pop balloons.

To pop balloons reliably, you need about 65-95mw (nm (aka color) doesn't matter).

To light matches reliably, you need about 120mw (nm (aka color) doesn't matter).

About 200mw will burn dark paper, 300mw will light paper on fire.
