Laser Power Meter

I'd like to buy a laser power meter. I've looked at the Coherent LaserCheck, the CNI PMXXX-3000 and the Laser Wave 20W meters. I don' t think that the Lasercheck will suffice. The deluxe Laserbee is nice; but I was hoping for more features. I doubt that I'll ever be testing lasers more powerful than 3W, so the CNI works. Does anyone have either the CNI or the Laser-Wave meters? From what I can tell by the limited documentation of the Laser-Wave model, it does one thing only (measure power at seemingly any wavelength without any mathematical conversions). I can't seem to obtain anything other than the limited info on the CNI website, so I can't really tell what their meters are capable of. Are there other meters (under $1,000) that would be recommended? What else should I expect a meter in this price range to do? Do some meters detect and measure wavelength along with power? I did notice that the CNI power meter appears to be calibrated to three wavelengths of your choice (which unfortunately did not include 405). Any insight and guidance would be much appreciated. I've only been a member of the forum for a short time and I can't believe the wealth of knowledge that is available here. I have learned much in the short time that I have observed. I think you are SOL, unless you can find a used meter that will do what you want, you are stuck. New meters cost several thousand dollars.

The ones that I mentioned by CNI & Laser-Wave are both under $1000.
