Hello!
I've recently purchased a green 500mw JD-303 laser and unfortunately, it's not working properly. At first, it wouldn't produce any temperature whatsoever. You could point it at your hand forever and you wouldn't feel a thing. Now, the seller claimed that it should at least burn paper, so I called him, explaining the issue, and he told me to send the laser back to him. He sent it to me after a few days and said that the battery was acting up and he changed it. I got it yesterday and... sigh. It's not much better, really.
When I first tried it out, you could feel it burning your skin in a few seconds, so I was happy he fixed it, but as I used it more, the power started dropping down until it barely heated stuff up anymore. I tried charging the battery - nothing. I noticed, though, that when I left it for a good couple of minutes and then started using it again, the very first beams were really strong and would really burn your hand/could probably burn paper. That only lasted like 30 seconds and then it went back to normal, though. Right now, it's quite opposite. When I first turn it on, you can't even see the beam travelling through. It shows up after like a minute of playing with the laser, and then it goes back to normal. And by normal, I mean weak >.>... I ordered a new 3,7 li-ion 18650 3800mAh battery online hoping that it might solve the problem, but, I don't know anymore whether it's really the power source or the laser itself. I hope you guys can help...
Regards,
-Sath
PS: There is a video on youtube showing how the JD-303 laser SHOULD work. -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_E0UUxVn28M Mine looks EXACTLY the same, and yet, it's so much weaker...
