laser modules for aussie

so i need a cheap aussie or international pref. aussie website that sells the little modules that u put ur diode in and the wires come out the back and you connect to ur diode. one that would fit a usual dvd burner diode or are they all diferent?

p.s is selling homemade lasers to mates in aus illegal?

The way I understand it, any hand held pointer over 1mW is illegal in Oz

Well for NSW at least, trade is banned too. I wouldn't really make them for anyone you couldn't trust, them being stupid may reflect on you.
