Laser is Super Underpowered

I have a couple of the same modules from DTR. Been very happy with them.
Since we are talking about hands, I shot one on my palm from about a foot away. (Running on one 18650)
Less than 2 seconds WOW!!!!!! HOT!!!!!!!!!
As I'm sitting here playing around I can also shine it on a card board box about 2 feet away with some black writing and make it smoke.
This also definitely needs a heat sink.
It gets real hot real fast.

Yeah, I have a pretty nice heatsink on it....

so... should I try a different battery? Or another kind of battery? And the people in the store didn't know what an 18650 battery was.... and this is a specialty battery store.

Is there another name for it?

EDIT-------

I'm heading out to the store to get some correct batteries. How many amps do I need?

EDIT AGAIN--------

Saw the specs, said 1050 mA. Goin' to the store :D

I have been getting them from Amazon. Ultrafire. Several are listed. The ones that say "sold by Cree-flashlight and fulfillied by Amazon" are REAL ultrafires. Lots of copies around.
Don't know if there is another name.

Ahh, okay.

Yeah, I like to buy local (no patience for shipping :D )

So, I'm going out to get: Lithium-Ion Batteries
With a voltage between 3.2 and 5.5
With an amp output between 1050 and 2000

Is this good?

They are usually rated 3.7 volts but will be over 4 when charged.
2400-3000mAh should all work. Higher number has more capacity should last longer
between charges.
