Seagull control is easy and low-tech. All you need to do is string up some 15 to 30 pound test fishing line over the area where you are trying to keep seagulls away. This is a common technique used by resorts over their swimming pools/spas at beach resorts. The reflection from the fishing line scares off birds. Believe me, it really works!

Hi, i have alot of seagulls nesting around my property and want to get rid of them, i heard green lasers are good but i bought a green 303 laser from ebay and when i shine it at them they dont do anything. please help

it just doesnt seem to scare them. anything else i could try??????????

In my area it's mostly an issue in parks because of canadian geese, there are too many of them as it is, literally crapping all over, they feed off of bluegrass apparently, which is very common, and in parks it's even worse because some do feed them.

There are signs all over not to feed wildlife, and I think $250 fine for first offense. Never seen anyone actually get fined though, which is kind of a shame.

Canada geese is the plural of canada goose. many make that mistake, so your chances of sounding dumb are low. but fyi. I only know because birds are like my thing. I'm a bird guy

I agree with you Skans.. Lasers are one of the best factor to scare away the seagulls. Before marriage, my husband was living near seashore and he had a great difficulty there. He used to say that a colony of seagulls used to land near their home and create major nuisance. Then he was not able to persist the situation and he contacted Humane Pest Control Toronto to get some suggestions to get rid of seagulls. They gave him a list of facts which affects the seagulls ( Gull Control Facts ). It says that lasers, falconry, dogs etc are very good at scaring away those birds.
