Hey whats up I am fairly new just 3 months in this forum
Right now I own a Blu-Ray burner 6x running a flexdrivev4, with a 405g1 lens, inside of a palide mini host. This is my first laser project, but now I want to build a burner/pointer??? or just pointer if burner is not possible. I want one that the beam will be visible during the daytime, can someone please help and please give me all the details, including driver, diode, color, batteries?

You will need about 500mW of green to begin to have the beam visible during the day. To have it obviously visible in broad daylight, you will need well over a watt of 532nm. Neither of the options will be a pointer or a direct diode.

Ben's right - to have a truly visible beam in direct sunlight will require over 1/2 watt of power (my Hercules peaked at well over 500mW and even then disappeared in sunlight, although it was slightly visible in overcast daylight, even outdoors)...

Your best bet would be to skip the build idea and save your $$ to get in on the next CNI group buy, I would recommend a 532nm green in the 400mW plus category (again, direct sunlight will eat the beam but you will have a really incredible night/twilight beam and a very visible daytime beam indoors anyhow).

I got a 100mw sxd module in a RPL mini that I can see in sunny day but I was under a large tent and looked directly from behind the laser. Lasers aren't fun in the sun. I assume you don't want to pay an arm and a leg so you are better off not getting something visible in the day time. If you have the money GO FOR IT, buy the most expensive, most powerful, yet portable laser you can find, you probably still won't see it that bright in the sun though.
